Detail Design of Structures for Sirt – Benghazi Railway L=1500 km

The Sirt-Benghazi Railway Line runs from Sirt to Benghazi. The design speed for the project is 250 km/h, it will be the first high speed railway line in Africa.

IPE Proing was a sub consultant to  C.E.A Engineering, Italy for designing rail culverts 6 pcs, Box culverts 8 pcs and Railway bridges 10 in total 24 box&bridges. These structures were designed at the first stage of this contract for 1500 km of railway.

Contract was signed for entire length of this railway but is under suspension due to the situation in Libya.

Preliminary design containing

• Material properties appropriation
• Structural elements appropriation
• Action, Load analysis and combination
• Structural analysis and design (static and seismic)
• Preliminary structural design technical report

Detail design containing:

• Material properties appropriation
• Structural elements appropriation
• Action, Load analysis and combination
• Structural analysis and design (static and seismic)
• Final structural design technical report
• Technical specification
• Bill of quantity
• Detail drawing of reinforcement for all structural element
